If you are in Amsterdam, the best way is by bicycle. Go to the Leidseplein. If you are by foot, there is a bicycle-rental near Paradiso next to the Leidseplein. From the Leidseplein, the main entrance is 200 meters south.

By public transport, take tram-line 1 or 2. The best thing to do is to enter the Vondelpark on the far side, and walk back toward the center of the city. Ask the conductor for the stop "Amstelveense Weg".

Not recommended is going by car. Parking your car around the Vondelpark is costly. Most of the time you will find it hard to find a parking-place in one of the streets close to the park.
